Season 1 of X Factor Malta ran from 7 October 2018 to 26 January 2019 on TVM.
It was won by 18-year-old singer Michela Pace who was mentored by Howard Keith Debono in the Girls category. She will represent her home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv.
Production[]
On July 2, 2018, it was announced that Ben Camille would host the show. The full judges' panel was revealed on the 31 July, being composed of music producer Howard Keith Debono, The Rifffs' frontman Ray Mercieca, Maltese singer and songwriter Alexandra Alden, and singer Ira Losco.
It was also confirmed that show would be used as a vehicle to find the country's entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv.
