Season 4 of X Factor Germany ran from 27 August 2018 to 19 October 2018 on Sky Deutschland.
It was won by male band EES & The Yes-Ja! Band who were mentored by Jennifer Weist in the Groups category.
Production[]
Six years after Season 3 had finished airing on VOX and had been cancelled, it was announced that the show was set to return on a new channel with a new presenter and judging panel.
In a change to previous seasons two presenters were chosen Charlotte Würdig and Bence Istenes who replaced former host Jochen Schropp. Istenes had previously hosted X-Faktor Hungary from 2013 to 2016.
An all-new judging panel was introduced consisting of former Modern Talking frontman Thomas Anders, Iggy Uriarte, rapper Sido and lead singer of the rock group Jennifer Rostock Jennifer Weist.
Following poor viewership throughout the season, Sky Deutschland cancelled it after the finale aired.
Twists/Changes[]
Bootcamp: This was scrapped with successful auditionees being put through to the Three Chair Challenge.
Judges' Houses: This was scrapped with the acts who were successful in the Three Chair Challenge going through to the live shows.
Live Shows: In a change to previous years, this was reduced to three weeks.
