Sevak Khanagyan is a Russian-born Armenian singer and songwriter. He auditioned for Season 7 of X-Factor Ukraine and made it all the way to the final mentored by Anton Savlepov.
Due to the eliminations of Bez Obmezhen and Alexey Kudryavtsev, Khanagyan was the only act left in his category. He was crowned the winner defeating Detach who were mentored by Julia Sanina.
Khanagyan usually sings his songs in Russian or Armenian. In 2018, he won the show Depi Evratesil (lit: Towards Eurovision) with the Armenian-language song "Qami"(lit: Wind) and therefore represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 but became only the second act representing the country to not make the final.
Trivia
- Khanagyan's performance at Eurovision was in competition with Saara Aalto from The X Factor UK (Series 13) and indirectly with Melovin, a fellow X Factor Ukraine contestant.
- The next time Depi Evratesil took place, Athena Manoukian from [[The X Factor UK (Series 15)]] won the show and the right to represent the Armenians.
