Risto Mejide (born Ricardo Mejide on 29 November 1974) is a Spanish advertising agent, television host and writer.
As of 2018, he is serving as a jury member of the third series of Factor X Spain, and he already had a decade-long career as a talent show juror before this point.
Mejide first rose to fame as a no-nonsense juror in the fifth series of Operación Triunfo, which started in 2006. He would stay on the show until 2009, when he was fired after making an unsavory remark about one of the contestants, which in turn prompted a verbal scuffle with host Jesús Vázquez. He moved on to subsequent jury gigs in Tú sí que vales and Got Talent España.
