Rachel Lester (born 1 May 1977) was unemployed from Cardiff, Wales who auditioned for Series 4 of The X Factor UK.
At her audition, Lester said she had been singing all her life, round the towns and everything. She also rated her singing 10/10 and claimed she could sing like Prince, Cyndi Lauper, Gwen Stefani, Sheila E, Kylie Minogue and said she could sing like judge Dannii Minogue aswell. Lester then claimed she could sing better than Madonna. She did not pass the audition stage after singing ‘Sugar Walls’ by Sheena Easton. After Lester claimed ‘It was good wasn’t it’, the judges disagreed and Rachel then began swearing at the judges, branding them ‘shit’ and their ‘bullshit’, she also said they all ‘lick each other’s f*****g arses, all to get where [they] want to f*****g be’. Rachel was then escorted off by security, where she told the judges to kiss her ass all the way. She also called judge Sharon Osbourne ‘very rude’ after she said ‘Nobody does cassettes anymore it’s called a CD’.
