Louis Tomlinson (born 24 December 1991) is an English singer, best known for being a member of hugely successful boy band One Direction, who came to fame on Series 7 of The X Factor. They finished in 3rd place but went on to achieve global success, selling 50 million records worldwide.
Following the band's split in 2016, he embarked on a solo career which saw his first single, a collaboration with Steve Aoki, reach #2 on the UK charts. His follow up single "Back to You", featuring American singer Bebe Rexa, was another Top 10 hit, peaking at #8.
On July 18, 2018, it was announced that he would be joining the judging panel of Series 15 of The X Factor replacing Louis Walsh. Prior to this, he had assisted Simon Cowell as a guest judge at Judges' Houses during Series 12.
