John and Edward Grimes (born 16 October 1991), collectively known as Jedward, are an Irish male pop vocal duo consisting of twin brothers John and Edward Grimes. They participated in Series 6 of The X Factor UK as part of the Groups category mentored by Louis Walsh.
Due to the eliminations of Kandy Rain and Miss Frank, John & Edward were the only act left in their category. They were eliminated from the competition in Week 7, finishing in 6th place after losing the sing-off to Olly Murs from the Over 25s category mentored by Simon Cowell.

Post-The X Factor[]
Following their departure, they signed a record deal with Universal Music and released three studio albums between 2010 and 2012, all of which reached #1 in their home country.
They are most famous for representing their home country in the annual Eurovision Song Contest in 2011, and than again in 2012. In the former, they placed 8th, the nation's most successful entry since 2000. The following year saw them make the final again, but with a lower placing. They have also been Celebrity Big Brother finalists, actors and television presenters in their home country.

- In Week 7, John & Edward received more public votes than Murs. This meant if the result went to deadlock, John & Edward would have advanced to the quarter-final and Murs would have been eliminated.
