InTENsity were a ten-member American teenage pop vocal group consisting of members Lauren Ashley Redmond (born November 13, 1993, from Houston, Texas), Francesca Duncan (March 2, 1994, from Orange County, New York) Arin Ray (born September 2, 1995 from Cincinnati, Ohio) Austin Percario (born November 18, 1995, from Warren, New Jersey) Emily Wilson (born May 14, 1996, from Warren, New Jersey), Nick Dean (born July 12, 1996, from Rochester, New York), Ellona Santiago (born August 1, 1996, from San Lorenzo, California), John Lindahl (born August 10, 1996, from Trabuco Canyon, California), Emily Michalak (born September 30, 1998, from Pine Brook, New Jersey) ,and Ma'at Bingham Shango (born February 28, 1999, from Houston, Texas).
Initially rejected at bootcamp as soloists in Season 1 of The X Factor USA, they were put together as a group and were mentored by Paula Abdul. They were eliminated from the competition in Week 2, finishing in 12th place after losing the sing-off to fellow category member The Stereo Hogzz.
In Week 2, InTENsity received more votes than The Stereo Hogzz which meant if the result went to deadlock, The Stereo Hogzz would have been eliminated.
In 2012, Arin Ray auditioned again for the show as a solo artist in the Teens category, and finished in 10th place after receiving the fewest public votes.
In 2013, Ellona Santiago auditioned again for the show as a solo artist in the Girls category, and finished in 6th place after receiving the fewest public votes. John Lindahl also auditioned again for the show as a solo artist.
