Danny Tetley (born 21 September 1981) is an English singer and actor from Bradford who competed in Series 15 of The X Factor as part of the Over 29s category mentored by Ayda Field.

Due to the eliminations of Olatunji Yearwood, Janice Robinson and Giovanni Spano, he was the last act remaining in his category.

He was eliminated on the first night of the semi finals in a double elimination after receiving the fewest public votes, finishing in 6th place.

In late 2019, Tetley plead guilty with five charges of sexual exploitation with five teenage boys aged between 15 & 16.

Trivia[]

  • He previously auditioned for Simon Cowell during the first series of Pop Idol in 2001.  He also auditioned for Louis Walsh during the 2002 series Popstars: The Rivals.
  • Technical issues during the Week 3 live shows (which were actually pre-recorded) meant that his performance was distorted. The problem also arose during Anthony Russell's performance.
