5 After Midnight, also known as 5AM, were an all-male trio consisting of Kieran Alleyne (born 11 April 1995), Jordan "Jay" Lee (born 8 October 1995) and Nathan Lewis (born 4 September 1993), who competed in Series 13 of The X Factor as part of the Groups category mentored by Louis Walsh.
Due to the eliminations of Bratavio, Four of Diamonds and the withdrawal of Brooks Way, they were the only act remaining in their category, they reached the final where they were eliminated on the first night, finishing in 3rd place behind runner-up Saara Aalto and winner Matt Terry.

Post The X Factor[]
On January 18, 2017, it was confirmed via Twitter that the group had been signed to Syco Music. Their debut single "Up In Here" was premiered on Britain's Got Talent but the performance drew controversy with the accusations that they were miming, which they later confirmed to be true. The single went on to peak at #51 on the UK Charts.
In November they released their debut EP called 'The Sauce' but in January 2018 they confirmed that they had parted ways with Sony Music. It was later revealed that band member Kieran Alleyne had left the band in order to pursue a solo career. They were later joined by BRIT School alum Brad O'Neill.
